Have a vision
It all starts here. Your job as an artist is to find a way to translate your ideas, experience, passion, curiosity into imagery that inspires your audience.
Start with the end in mind. Imagine you have successfully completed this photoshoot. Ask yourself these questions:
- Who would you ideally like to see these photos (“everyone” is a bad answer. Get specific.)
- How do you want your audience to feel after they’ve seen these photos?

Beginning today, photographers can apply for up to 10 hours of free studio time

Photography community EyeEm and Space for Arts, an online photo studio booking platform, have partnered to provide 100 hours of free studio space to photographers in New York City in the month of August.
Starting today, photographers can apply via this form for ½ day or full day shoots in one of two studios on the Space for Arts platform. Applications will be accepted for ten days, after which EyeEm and Space for Arts will vet each application and pick passion projects to support.
“We’ve always been about the love of photography and sharing important visual stories,” said EyeEm Co-founder and CEO Florian Meissner. “This partnership allows us to provide a space for photographers to do just that, to shoot their passion projects without the burden of spending money on a space.”
